Gasum acquires Enegia’s energy market services
The leading gas sector player in the Nordic countries, Gasum is acquiring the energy market services business of the energy industry expert company Enegia. Enegia Consulting Oy, Enegia Portfolio Services Oy and IntStream Oy will become part of Gasum. The transaction was closed by Gasum Ltd and Enegia Group Oy on August 31, 2018.
The acquisition will strengthen Gasum’s Nordic strategy by enabling service expansion in the energy wholesale market and creating a platform for expanded product offering to its customers. In the transaction, Gasum acquired the Enegia energy market services business, around 35 energy-sector professionals and an extensive customer base. Following the transaction, Gasum intends to expand service provision to the natural gas market and throughout the company’s operating area in the Nordic countries and will continue to offer its customers a diverse range of services.
