“Sky Sports is giving Formula 1 viewers a depth of coverage never offered before, so it’s vital that our production infrastructure meets the huge demands placed on it across an entire race calendar. This is the third year that we’ve used Gearhouse Broadcast’s Flyaway Pods, so our production team now know them well and can concentrate on the coverage that we’re delivering, rather than worrying about the facilities.”
Gearhouse Broadcast has worked with us on many major tennis tournaments, so know what we require and how we run a production of this scale and importance.
We have a lot of experience in delivering flexible and reliable solutions for various sporting seasons, such as motor racing and tennis. Our strategic relationships with manufacturers such as Hitachi mean we’re able to offer our customers the latest technology and help to enhance the viewers’ overall experience.
The environment that we operate in on I’m a Celebrity... couldn’t be more extreme, but it’s testament to both the talent and expertise of the people who work on the production, the equipment and supporting technology, and our key partners such as Gearhouse Broadcast, that such a polished final product can be delivered to viewers at home.
As you can imagine, I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is one of the most ambitious and challenging productions out there, which makes it great fun to be a part of. This will be the sixth series that we’ve been involved in, which is testament the quality of the technical and broadcast facilities that we’ve consistently delivered.
Robert opted for the Sennheiser Digital 9000 system because of its superior audio quality and due to the fact that it gives him the ability to encrypt the transmitters. The interesting part of this installation for The X Factor is that we’ve combined the aerial feeds on the new system, allowing audio coverage in the outside set and the studio simultaneously.
I trust the team at Gearhouse Broadcast to deliver cutting edge audio solutions to me, so that I can focus on my job and help to ensure that The X Factor stays ahead of the competition.
