Getinge announces its commitment to the 20th World Federation for Hospital Sterilization Sciences (WFHSS) Congress 2019, presenting comprehensive and flexible solutions for central sterile services departments (CSSDs).

Getinge offers a wide range of fully integrated sterile reprocessing solutions including equipment, consumables and software uniquely suited to each facility's specific needs. Through close collaboration with customers, Getinge specialists take on the responsibility of designing, implementing and maintaining a safe and productive CSSD to prevent patient infections and reduce damage or loss of valuable instruments.

“Planning is the key. When designing a hospital’s sterile production capabilities to accommodate the needs of the next 15 to 20 years, it’s crucial to get things right from the start. With the right architectural planning, we can establish the best possible workflow, which will benefit the facility for years to come. This not only assures hygiene safety and maximum productivity, but also makes a better workplace for the staff,” shared Jörgen Alstberg, Global Expert Infection Control Workflow and Planning at Getinge.

At the WFHSS Congress 2019, Getinge will present solutions to help customers improve their CSSD operations through Getinge’s extensive knowledge within workflow optimization and intelligent software solutions for sterile supply management (T-DOC) and OR management. These solutions will be demonstrated on the booth and in a remote live mobile CSSD unit that is exhibited together with Q-bital Healthcare Solutions.

Getinge will also support the scientific program with a sponsored satellite symposium on Architectural planning and digitalization – key enablers for an efficient surgical workflow. This symposium will take place on October 31, 2019 at 12.45pm.
