Universeum, national science center of Sweden and the largest of its kind in the Nordics, is a public arena for lifelong learning in which children and adults alike can explore the world through science, math and technology.

"We create experiences that boost creativity and capacity for innovation, increase knowledge and activate critical thinking. Science is the foundation of all we do – that, and Agenda 2030. We strive to provide children and adults with the right conditions and opportunities to take action to achieve a sustainable world," says Carina Halvord, CEO of Universeum.

Universeum is now growing in the hopes of benefiting more people. The expansion means greater surface space to allow more visitors. One of the upcoming initiatives is about life science and it is here, especially, that the core of the collaboration with Getinge will lie.

"We encourage lifelong learning and are proud to be collaborating with Universeum in raising interest in technology, science and sustainable societal development. We can contribute important knowledge in the area of creating a sustainable, productive healthcare system," says Mattias Perjos, President & CEO at Getinge.

He adds:

"We are also pleased to be supporting an important initiative in the Västra Götaland region, where Getinge has its headquarters. With Universeum, we look to enhance knowledge in the region."
