Johan Bygge proposed as new Getinge Board member

The Nomination Committee of Getinge AB has announced that it will propose that the Annual General Meeting on 19 April 2007 elect Johan Bygge as a new member of the Board of Directors, since Vice Chairman Fredrik Arp has declined re-election.

Johan Bygge, born in 1956, has more than 20 years’ experience within Swedish industry and has most recently been employed as Senior Executive Vice President of Electrolux, with responsibility for Europe and Asia/Pacific. Johan Bygge currently has Board assignments for the First Swedish National Pension Fund, Isaberg Rapid AB and the Swedish Association of Stock Market Companies.

“We are very gratified to have succeeded in establishing an association between Johan Bygge, with his broad and solid international and industrial experience, and Getinge,” says Carl Bennet.

The Nomination Committee has also proposed the re-election of Board members Carl Bennet (Chairman), Rolf Ekedahl, Carola Lemne, Johan Malmquist, Margareta Norell Bergendahl and Johan Stern.

Proposals relating to the other issues that are the responsibility of the Nomination Committee will be presented in the invitation to the Annual General Meeting.

Getinge’s Nomination Committee comprises Chairman Carl Bennet (Carl Bennet AB), Marianne Nilsson (Robur), Björn Franzon (Fourth Swedish National Pension Fund), Joachim Spetz (Handelsbanken), Cecilia Lager (SEB fonder) and Olle Törnblom as representative of the smaller shareholders.
