Changes in Gjensidige's Group Management

Executive Vice President (EVP) Jørgen Ringdal, who is in charge of Organisation and HR, will assume a position as advisor for CEO Helge Leiro Baastad until he retires 1 May 2022. Mr. Ringdal will remain part of the Group Management.

 - I will need the competencies of Jørgen Ringdal for several big projects in the time to come, and I am very pleased that he has agreed to assume such a role until he retires, says CEO Helge Leiro Baastad. -I have worked closely with Mr. Ringdal for almost 25 years, and look forward to even closer cooperation going forward, says, Baastad.

Jørgen Ringdal came to Gjensidige from KPMG in 1996 and started as head of Group Internal Audit. In 1997 he became EVP. His first area of responsibility was Finance, and later Shared Services. Since April 2018 he has been EVP for Organisation and HR. 

There will not be appointed a new EVP to replace Ringdal. The responsibility for Organisation and HR will be transferred to EVP Janne Flessum, who is in charge of Communication and Shared Services. There will also be some transfer of responsibilities between CFO Jostein Amdal and EVP Janne Flessum.

The changes will be effective as of 1 March 2021.

  • Janne Merethe Flessum, EVP Strategy, Organisation and Communication
  • Tor Erik Silset, EVP Technology and Infrastructure 
  • Jørgen Ringdal, Advisor
