We have been working with Goodyear for around two years now in developing the best bespoke total cost of ownership programme for our fleet. Goodyear has provided us with a package that covers every area of tyre maintenance and performance. Throughout the two years we have seen an enhanced performance from our vehicles and through fitting Goodyear’s latest KMax tyre coupled with its meticulous level of service through TruckForce we expect to see that trend continuing.
We are very proud of the economic performance of the Iveco Stralis range. The fitment of Goodyear’s latest Goodyear KMAX and FUELMAX tyres will further enhance that performance and help our customers reduce their operating costs even more.
For our business, changing the service provider was a decision that took much deliberation; we had been in partnership with our previous provider for over 20 years. Goodyear presented a bespoke package that supplies us with innovative tyres that are set to reduce our spending on fuel without compromising in any other areas.
When you think about the cost that tyres incur whether it is fuel efficiency, repairs, punctures or the purchasing of new tyres it all mounts up, but when that cost is carefully managed it ultimately results in lower operating costs for our business. TruckForce are experts in their field, they catch issues, take preventative measures and solve problems so downtime is at a minimum. The very essence of our business is about being out on the road and TruckForce contribute greatly to that.”
“We carefully monitored the performance of our tyres, particularly their service life and fuel consumption,” said Stéphane Helaiem, the general director of Transports Berthaud. “We can report a great improvement with the new Goodyear KMAX tyres, including a gain in potential service life of more than 30% compared with the Goodyear Regional line. Good traction in snowy conditions is particularly important for us, as we have to deliver our goods on time. In these conditions our drivers reported better traction and road holding than with the previous tyres.”
