Graninge sells district heating business in Nordmaling to Sydkraft
Graninge sells district heating business in Nordmaling to Sydkraft Graninge and Sydkraft have reached an agreement for Graninge to sell its district heating business in Nordmaling to Sydkraft. According to the agreement, Graninge will transfer all shares in Nordmalings Energiverk AB to Sydkraft for a price of SEK 12 million. Nordmalings Energiverk, with an annual turnover of around SEK 5 million, produces and distributes district heating in the municipality of Nordmaling. Energy deliveries to the company's customers amount to approx. 12 GWh. "This is a logical step for Graninge", says Ulf Gunnarsson, Managing Director of Graninge Värme in a comment on the transaction. "After the sale of Graninge's Forest & Timber division, which included the sawmill in Rundvik, Nordmaling is no longer one of our core areas for heating operations. The Rundvik sawmill is a vital component of the district heating infrastructure in Nordmaling."
