Graninge to lower electricity price as of 1 April Graninge will lower its non-contract prices as of 1 April this year to 49.0 öre/kWh excluding power tax and VAT. Graninge to reduce holding in Alholmens Kraft Graninge AB has reduced its holding in Oy Alholmens Kraft Ab in Finland from 19.9 to 14.9 per cent through a sale to Perhonjoki Oy, a local distribution company. Alholmen owns and operates the world's largest biofuel-fired power plant in Pietarsaari, Finland. The plant went into operation at the end of 2001. The purchase sum amounts to MEUR 1.5. Graninge sells district heating business in Nordmaling to Sydkraft Graninge and Sydkraft have reached an agreement for Graninge to sell its district heating business in Nordmaling to Sydkraft. According to the agreement, Graninge will transfer all shares in Nordmalings Energiverk AB to Sydkraft for a price of SEK 12 million. Nordmalings Energiverk, with an annual turnover of around SEK 5 million, produces and distributes district heating in the municipality of Nordmaling.
