Well-reputable hotel director assists Gympak
For over 15 years, Paul Lukes was the CEO and hotel director of large and well-known hotels on the west coast. Nowadays, the Gothenburg native works with property development projects in an entrepreneurial company. Simultaneously, he serves as an advisor and board member at Gympak, focusing on helping the company enter the Nordic hotel market.
Delivering that extra touch and creating memorable experiences for guests is a hallmark of Paul. In Gothenburg and the hotel industry, he is known as a fresh breath of air who is passionate about service and creates wow experiences for everyone he meets.
Since the beginning of the year, he has been a board member and a strong contributing factor to hotels opening their arms to Gympak. On a daily basis, he works at an entrepreneurial company focused on property development and investments, which also includes hotels.
"When Gympak was first presented to me, it felt absolutely right," says Paul with a big smile.
He describes how hotels need to offer new types of services to stand out and deliver even higher service levels.
"In my opinion, Gympak solves so much. I know that many people want to work out on their business trips, but a lot of them can't fit workout clothes in their luggage, and many don't want to pack wet clothes back into their bags," explains Paul, continuing: "There are also those who find themselves with extra time. A meeting gets canceled or the train is delayed. Then you can take the opportunity to work out. But if you don't have workout clothes with you, it's a problem. You can go down and borrow or rent from the reception."
Gympak becomes part of the offer and packages
Many hotels will also offer Gympak as part of a package. For example, accommodation, access to the gym, including one hour with a personal trainer, borrowing workout clothes, followed by a visit to the relaxation or spa area.
Some believe that Gympak can enhance the conference experience as well. A short and simple workout session in the conference room after a day of sitting still, before dinner, is expected to become popular.
"More and more guests and companies are thinking about health. That's where Gympak supports them. It feels good to help Gympak achieve success," says Paul.
During the spring, Gympak has signed agreements with a large number of hotels such as At Six, several Elite hotels, Amerikalinjen, Arken Spa, Clarion Hotel Oslo, and most recently, the Italian boutique hotel Villa Carona.
Equipment in all rooms
Several hotels will offer Gympak in every room. Examples of equipment that guests can use include yoga mats and foam rollers.
"Many have traveled far, and even more have been sitting still for a long day. It’s great to be able to stretch and use the equipment in the room to wake up the body again," says Paul.
When Gympak analyzed why hotels chose Gympak, they all said it was about supporting guests and creating even better hotel experiences while simplifying guests' everyday lives. The fact that hotels gain new revenue is a great bonus.
"I follow Gympak's development closely and see that they have now reached beyond the Nordics and also gained spa hotels as clients. Gympak can really make a difference for all kinds of hotels that want to increase their service, regardless of whether the hotel is small or large or wherever it is located," concludes Paul.
