Lundbeck’s latest appointments highlight the company’s continuous efforts to increase production efficiencies in light of the many product launches planned for the next few years. The appointments are also a good example of talent development at Lundbeck: two of the three new VPs are in their early or mid-thirties.

“All three have delivered impressive results as divisional directors in charge of areas that are of great importance to the Lundbeck business. Since joining Lundbeck, they have also been excellent ambassadors for the Lundbeck values and the High Performance Culture that we continuously endeavour to develop,” says Lars Bang, Senior Vice President, Supply Operations and Engineering at Lundbeck.

The three new VPs
Kristian Sibilitz began at Lundbeck in 2005 as a replenishment planner in Logistics. He was personal assistant to Senior Vice President Lars Bang from 2007 to 2009, and was subsequently appointed as divisional director. He has now been appointed Vice President, Logistics. With his 32 years, he is the youngest ever Vice President at Lundbeck. Under Kristian Sibilitz’s leadership, Lundbeck has achieved significant savings by renegotiating local distribution contracts on a number of Lundbeck markets.

Christian Houborg joined Lundbeck in 2002. He started as a supply chain planner in Logistics and was then personal assistant to Senior Vice President Lars Bang for two years. He was appointed divisional director of Lundbeck's Lean Programme in 2007, and was named divisional director for Service & Technical Operations in 2009. Christian Houborg’s new title is Vice President, Service & Technical Operations & Lean. Since joining Lundbeck, Christian Houborg has made significant contributions to the cultural changes in Supply Operations & Engineering and has been a driving force in creating a leaner, more efficient Service & Technical Operations organization.

Lene Andersen has been at Lundbeck for 16 years. She started as a section leader in Quality Control, then moved on to become head of department in Bulk Analysis before her appointment as divisional director of Supply Operations & Engineering Quality in Valby in 2004. She assumed global responsibility for Supply Operations & Engineering Quality in 2009. She has now been appointed Vice President, Quality Supply Operations. With her 16 years at Lundbeck, Lene Andersen has in-depth knowledge of the company and has helped to build a world-class quality department at Lundbeck.
