Eirik Tandberg Folkvord has been appointed Hafslund`s Senior Vice President for Heat and managing director of Hafslund Heat, from 18 March. He replaces Jan Presttun, who is retiring.

- In recent years, the profitability of Hafslund Heat has increased significantly as a result of systematic improvement work. At the same time the district heating business in Oslo has many opportunities for profitable growth, as a result of population growth, the phasing out of fuel oil for domestic heating, and the introduction of cooling generated from heat. With his background from Hafslund Heat and his qualities Tandberg will be well equipped to take responsibility for a future-oriented development of Hafslund Heat, says Hafslund’s CEO Finn Bjørn Ruyter.

Tandberg (b. 1985) has worked in Hafslund since January 2011, and comes from the position as Director Strategy and Market of Hafslund Heat. He has in the past been advisor to the CEO of Hafslund ASA, adviser at Hafslund Markets, and worked briefly in the consultancy firm McKinsey. Tandberg is a graduate of Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU. Tandberg and related parties own 1,130 B-shares in Hafslund ASA.

- Hafslund Heat is entering an exciting period, and I look forward to leading a company with many talented and dedicated employees, says Eirik Folkvord Tandberg.
