Hafslund - Tarjei Lie new Senior Vice President for Strategy, HR and ICT

Tarjei Lie has been appointed Hafslund’s new Senior Vice President for Strategy, HR and ICT from 1 April. This is a newly created position.

“Over the next few years, new framework conditions, new technology and changed customer behavior will present Hafslund with a number of new development opportunities. Competence development and ICT will play a pivotal role during this period. Lie’s extensive experience will enable him to make a key contribution to the Group’s strategic initiatives,” explains Hafslund CEO, Finn Bjørn Ruyter.

In his previous position, Lie (born 1975) was CEO of SverigesEnergi AB, a wholly owned power company in the Hafslund Group, and Business Developer at Hafslund Markets Foreign Division. Prior to this Lie was Group Trainee at Storebrand ASA (2003–2005), Personal Adviser to the Storebrand CEO (2005–2007), CEO of Storebrand Baltic (2008–2011), and Head of Storebrand Privat Direkte (Storebrands customer centres) (2011–2013).

Lie holds a Law degree (Cand.jur/Master) and a degree in mathematics (Cand.mag/Bachelor) from the University of Oslo. He also has an MBA from the French business school INSEAD.
