Hafslund – The Norwegian Tax Administration withdraws tax claim

The Norwegian Tax Administration has accepted that there is no basis for taxing capital gains relating to the sale of the shares in Hatros I AS and Hatros II AS in 2006 and 2007. This means that Hafslund in the first quarter of 2014 will reverse earlier expensed tax of NOK 268 million plus interest. Hafslund has paid NOK 205 million in taxes related to the disputed tax case. Hafslund will get tax plus interest repaid. Reference is made to note 24 in the Hafslund Group's annual report 2013 available on www.hafslund.no for further information about the tax case.
