As part of its efforts to realize the Haglöfs business plan – Haglöfs Going Global – the company is now implementing a major reorganization, which includes a change to its management team. New to Haglöfs and the management team is Eva Strand, who will take over as CFO in February 2013.

Haglöfs' vision is to position its brand as the leader within Technical Outdoor and Sustainability on all key markets in the world. In order to come closer to this vision, Haglöfs has worked intensively in recent years with a new business plan and export strategy – Haglöfs Going Global. As a natural stage in the development process, Haglöfs is now restructuring its organization and creating a new management team that consists of both old and new members.

“We have dedicated extensive time and resources to creating our business plan. The organizational changes we are implementing now are intended to create the best possible conditions for us to realize this plan,” says Nicolas Warchalowski, CEO of Haglöfs.

As of February 1, 2013, the new management group at Haglöfs consists of:

  • Nicolas Warchalowski – CEO
  • Eva Strand – CFO
  • Leif Fontér Director of Logistics & Human Resources
  • Jari Grev Head of Sales & Area Manager Nordic
  • Richard Jägrud Product Director
  • Johnny Claus – Operations Director
  • Lennart Ekberg – Director of Sustainability

New to Haglöfs is Eva Strand, who will take over as CFO in February 2013. Eva most recently was Finance Director at GlaxoSmithKline AB and her previous positions include management roles within economics and finance at GlaxoSmithKline AB, American Express Corporate Travel AB, SINSER Group and Skandia AB. Eva Strand is 45 years old and holds a Masters in Economics from Uppsala University.

“One of the strengths of Haglöfs' organizational development over the years is that we have been able to both recruit internally and add new external competence. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Eva Strand to the staff here at Haglöfs. Her international experience makes her a key piece of the puzzle in our global expansion,” says Nicolas Warchalowski.

In addition to the new management group, Haglöfs has also given a number of managers new or increased areas of responsibility. Nico Kruis was named Area Manager Central Europe and Magnus Nervé was named Area Manager Asia Pacific. Nico Kruis, Magnus Nervé and Jari Grev will continue in their current roles as Country Managers for Benelux, Japan and Finland, respectively. In addition, Camilo Sjödin was named Business Development & Retail Manager and Fredrik Kjellberg was named Global Marketing Manager.

“A new Haglöfs is emerging. With a strong brand, the assurance of a Scandinavian origin and our core values, we are now entering into a significantly larger arena as we expand globally. Our offers are developing well and we have good growth despite a market that is difficult in many respects. With the new organization we can shift our development into the next gear,” concludes Nicolas Warchalowski.
