Free Kids Bike Workshops Available At Halfords

Report this content

Over the Easter holidays, Halfords is giving kids the opportunity to learn the basics of bike maintenance free of charge.

Starting at 10am on each Wednesday over Easter, the workshops will be available at 423 Halfords stores.

Each workshop will take approximately an hour with the aim to teach 8-10 year olds the basics of things to check on their bikes. The sessions will include a tutorial and demonstration on how to fix punctures, re-attaching a bike chain and how to adjust both handle bars and the saddle height. There will also be a drawing competition with a chance to win a bike worth up £250!

Halfords CSR Manager, Emma Thomas said: " Last year's Olympic and Tour De France successes introduced a whole new generation to cycling. We are keen to build on that. The bike workshops are aimed to be fun and interactive. They provide a great starting point for kids and even parents to go back home and try out what they have learned together on their own bikes."
