HALFORDS GETS MO-TORING
Hirsute colleagues from automotive and cycle retailer Halfords have helped create the largest network of Movember supporters in Europe.
Almost 2000 colleagues have grown moustaches and raised more than £15,000 in support of the charity – which aims to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health by raising vital funds and awareness. Customers across the country have recognised the usual welcoming smile from colleagues in store has been hairier than normal.
Halfords Retail Director Rob Swyer, sporting an impressive ‘Mo’ of his own said: “I’m proud of our colleagues’ show of support and amazed at the creativity and variety of the moustaches they now bear.”
“Health is a serious business but we’ve had good fun and the network has just grown and grown over the last few weeks raising funds and awareness for an important cause.”
Movember combats prostate and testicular cancer as well as mental health challenges facing men. These programmes, directed by the Movember Foundation, are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond these problems.
