HALFORDS PARKING SENSORS TAKE THE BUMPS OUT OF REVERSING
Halfords is introducing a new range of low cost parking sensors to help more drivers avoid bumps and scrapes when parking.
Sensors are common place on new vehicles, but a large number of Britain’s 30 million cars don’t have them, either because they were not available when the cars were new or are too expensive.
Parking sensor technology is more relevant than ever as research shows that over 10 million car owners have suffered annoying scuffs or scratches as a result of unwanted contact in car parks over the last year.
Also modern cars are longer than their predecessors by up to 12cm on some models, making parking that much more difficult.*
Richard Newman, of Halfords, said: “Many more drivers could benefit from this helpful technology and customers have told us they would welcome parking sensors if they were available at a more affordable price.
“We’re delighted to introduce this new range that costs 75% less than some premium car manufacturers charge - depending upon the vehicle.”
Made by Veba, the sensors fit to the front or rear of a vehicle. They can be painted to blend in with bumpers and are compatible with vehicles equipped with rear-mounted tow bars and spare wheels. An optional visual display is also available.
The parking sensor range starts at £59.99 and can be fitted for £64.99.** They can be ordered online at www.halfords.com or in store.
