Raleigh Chopper Rides Again at Halfords
Iconic 1970's bike re-released at Halfords
The iconic Raleigh Chopper is back and available at Halfords. No other bike features as fondly in childhood memory as this 1970’s classic.
Styled like a motorbike, the Chopper was perfect for paper rounds, cycling to the sweet shop and looking cool. This limited edition Hot One model has been updated and now comes in a flaming red design.
With three gears, a fat rear tyre, large bench seat and a set of ape hanger handlebars, the Chopper is ideal for pulling wheelies and jumping off ramps. And giving your mates backies.
Hannah Coupland, Assistant Buyer for Mainstream Cycling at Halfords says: "The Raleigh Chopper is not only a design classic, but also a childhood icon and we've seen lots of demand from parents wanting to recreate the magic of their favourite bike for their children. The nostalgia trend has helped this much loved retro bike make a comeback this summer."
Ben Hillsdon, Raleigh Marketing Manager, says: "Whether you're young or old it's hard not to be taken in by the charm of the Chopper. This British cultural icon has bags of personality and we're certain it will be a collector's item."
It retails at £250 from all Halfords stores and online at Halfords.com
