Halton signed manufacturing and licensing agreement with Malcolm Ravenscroft Ltd. In New Zealand
Halton Oy, the family owned Finnish company specialising in indoor climate solutions, granted Malcolm Ravenscroft Ltd. extended rights under their licence to manufacture agreement for a wider range of Halton products for Indoors Environment applications from 1st January 2011.
In addition to the main product groups such as chilled beams and low velocity units, also other air diffusion products relevant to the market will now be covered by the agreement.
Malcolm Ravenscroft Ltd. has also been granted the distribution rights for Halton Indoors products not only in New Zealand, but Australia, Indonesia and South Pacific islands south of the equator.
Production will take place in New Zealand according to Halton’s specifications, manufacturing drawings, design data and quality requirements. This means that clients can make use of Halton’s advance HIT Design software to select the best possible solutions. Ravenscroft will have the best support in the business with full use of Halton’s resources, including advanced test labs, R&D, CFD simulations, applications and manufacturing capabilities, and marketing services.
This arrangement will elevate Halton's and Ravenscroft's presence in the market to an unprecedented level, providing a unique level of service to the market through local skills and knowledge that ranks amongst the best in the industry, short lead times with manufacturing based in the same area, lower freight costs, and improved after sales service.
Ravenscroft is exited about the opportunity to manufacture Halton products locally under licence, which is further affirmation of the close relationship between the two companies. This agreement will give unparallel service to Halton and Ravenscroft’s customers is Australasia, and offer added flexibility and faster delivery times with goods produced in the Southern Hemisphere. An added benefit is the reduced carbon footprint with products no longer transported from Europe.
Halton sponsors kiwi breeding program
As Halton cares about wellbeing, it has become a sponsor of the New Zealand Conservation Trust, taking part in the kiwi breeding program. The program is run with the ongoing and invaluable support of Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, and operates the most successful captive kiwi breeding of South Island kiwi breeds in the world.
