This short video provides a glimpse of life onboard this popular vessel, ideally suited to optimise the passengers’ experience in the Polar Regions, nosing up to impressive bird cliffs or pushing into sea ice to spot bears.
“We’re incredibly excited to be collaborating with a team of marine architects, engineers, interior designers and polar expedition specialists to enhance and revitalise the beloved Sea Adventurer,” said Andrew White, President of Quark Expeditions®. “Passengers and expedition staff alike have always enjoyed the intimate atmosphere and authenticity of this true expedition ship, and now will enjoy greater comforts, amenities, and an enhanced onboard experience.”
This multi-million dollar investment includes renovations to the interior of the ship, significant technical upgrades, and the addition of new passenger cabins. The refurbishment will give the ship a new look and feel throughout, new bathrooms in every cabin, and upgrades to the main lounge and main dining room, gym, and select suites. Technical enhancements – including two new engines, generators, gear boxes, drive systems, and re-bladed propellers – will result in increased fuel efficiency, and a minimised carbon footprint.
