Hemsö acquires two nursing homes in Germany

Hemsö is continuing to grow in Germany and is acquiring two nursing homes in the state of Bavaria. The investment amount is EUR 26 million.

The acquisitions comprise two nursing homes located in the historical cities of Waldkraiburg and Mühldorf just east of Munich in Bavaria. 20-year rental agreements have been signed with care provider Charleston for the two homes.

“We are continuing to expand our portfolio of nursing homes in the state of Bavaria, which we are very happy about. We now own more than 70 nursing homes in total in Germany, including ten homes in Bavaria with about 900 beds,” says Jens Nagel, Head of Region, Germany at Hemsö.

The nursing home in Waldkraiburg has 87 beds and the home in Mühldorf has 124.

Hemsö’s total German portfolio of 84 properties in nursing homes, education and the justice system comprises approximately 450,000 sqm.
