Hemsö’s shareholders have decided to make an equity injection of SEK 1.0 billion to strengthen the capital structure and to finance Hemsö’s investments in new sustainable schools and nursing homes. The capital will be injected during the third quarter of 2023.

“A stronger capital structure and liquidity position enables Hemsö to continue to support the public sector in times of growing need for new social infrastructure. With this year’s capital injection Hemsö’s owners have since 2019 provided equity of SEK 4.0 billion which has enabled investments in mainly new development of schools and nursing homes. During 2023 alone Hemsö has completed 500 new nursing home beds and 3 000 new school places. This would not have been possible without the strong and long-term support from our owners,” says Rutger Källén, Deputy CEO and CFO, at Hemsö.
