The most recent figures from market research company GfK show that Hemtex’s share of the total home-textile market in Sweden rose to 30.9% during the period January through September 2006. “We’re noting successes over the entire line, a distinct signal that customers are being inspired by our products and appreciate our offerings. We noted the largest increase for sales of tablecloths, and of bath towels and hand towels, while sales of curtains have also been favorable. For some time now, we have been the clear Number One in the bed linen segment, where we also continued to increase our market share,” says Hemtex President and Chief Executive Officer, Anders Jansson.
