Hilti Appoints New Head Of Region Northern Europe
Hilti, the professional software, service and product partner for construction, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rainer Ringgenberg as new Head of Region Northern Europe. The appointment comes following the decision of former Region Head, Matias Jarnefelt, to step down from his role to spend more time with his family.
Reporting to Executive Board member Joaquim Sardà, Rainer joined the Hilti Group’s Extended Management Team from 1st May 2021, where he’ll lead the Northern Europe region from his new base in Manchester.
Since beginning his journey at Hilti in 2005, Rainer has pursued a colourful career that’s taken him and his family all over the globe. Starting out as a Global Process Manager at the Hilti Head Office in Liechtenstein, he then relocated to Latin America where he led the Regional Competence Centre from Mexico and Panama. In 2010, he returned to his home country of Switzerland to become an Account Manager and Regional Manager, before moving to Germany as a Division Manager. For the past 4 years, Rainer has been the General Manager for Hilti Belgium and Luxemburg, and will now take the reigns as General Manager for Hilti Great Britain and the region Northern Europe.
Rainer says: “My impressions of the Northern Europe region have been very positive so far. I feel really welcomed and everyone has helped me to integrate. People are very passionate about what they do here, and there’s a strong resilience – especially after everything that happened last year. I’m really happy to be here.”
