The Hilti Jaibot has received several iF and Red Dot awards. Launched last year, the Jaibot was recognized for its degree of innovation and design quality and was also named "Best of the Best".

The Jaibot received the highest award in the product design category,"Red Dot: Best of the Best", and was certified by the international jury as having a groundbreaking design. An additional Red Dot award went to the construction site robot in the "Smart Products" category, which evaluates networked and digital products with a focus on their intelligent features. The design experts on the jury in the iF competition also liked this innovation and presented an award to the Jaibot

The semi-autonomous, mobile construction robot is designed to drill in ceilings and perform work based on digital plan/BIM data. By executing overhead work, the Jaibot takes over tasks that are among the most physically demanding for workers on construction sites. Depending on the project, the robot is capable of drilling 300-600 anchor holes per day for various trades, such as the HVAC and ceiling trades, and then marking them, for identification purposes, for the respective trades. In the course of continuous software enhancement, Jaibot’s functional scope was expanded to include drilling in challenging ceiling structures such as composite metal deck or ribbed ceilings

The drilling robot from the Liechtenstein-based construction technology company is currently in use on large construction sites, for multilevel office buildings, parking garages, hospitals and train stations, on three continents. After launching in Europe, North America and the Middle East, sales will soon begin in Asia Pacific.

Another award that Hilti can look forward to is the BIM Champion Award 2021, which it was awarded in the “construction suppliers” category by the German chapter of the Building SMART global industry association. The award was given to Hilti for a project that clearly demonstrated how integral planning, using Building Information Modelling, or BIM, can lead to a more efficient construction site process. The planning of the data was carried out in BIM, thereby forming the basis for automated drilling, which was carried out by the Jaibot. Time-consuming measuring and overhead work could be eliminated and the drilling of the holes was faster and safer. The total installation time on the construction site was reduced by half.
