Continuous success for HiQ
Net sales for the period January – September increases with 7.9 per cent to a total of SEK 1 293.2 (1 199.0) million. This is a record for HiQ. Operating profit (EBIT) for the first nine months, also this a record, amounts to SEK 152,0 (151,4) million corresponding to an operating margin of 11.8 per cent. Net sales for the third quarter total SEK 369.3 (352.1) million. Operating profit (EBIT) for the third quarter is SEK 38.5 (46.9) million corresponding to an operating margin of 10.4 per cent. Liquid assets at the end of September total SEK 154.6 million.
“The third quarter is always seasonally challenging. Despite that, the net sales increases and we make our highest net sales ever in a third quarter. The results for net sales and profit for the first nine months of the year are also records, which of course makes us happy and proud", says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.
Digitalisation is having a fundamental impact on every aspect of modern society. At HiQ, we work together with our customers to simplify and improve businesses, products and services by benefit from the possibilities of digitalisation. One area that is expanding very rapidly is digitalisation and rationalisation within healthcare (eHealth). Our track record of success in simplifying and improving has made us an increasingly important partner for companies and organisations in the healthcare sector. Another example is the cashless society, where we are experiencing strong demand for our expertise in developing smart digital services.
During and after the quarter we reach several important wins. Among others, we become strategic partner to the Skandia banking and insurance group. We secure an extensive framework agreement with Zenuity – jointly owned by Volvo Car Group and Autoliv – to develop software solutions for autonomous vehicles. We win a framework agreement with one of the Nordic region’s largest banking groups. We develop a new loyalty portal for Circle K. We develop a global intranet for the Wärtsilä industrial conglomerate. And, as evidence of our leading position in design and digital innovation, our digital concept team from Great Apes in Finland wins the prestigious design competition, Red Dot Awards.
Some time ago, I was asked, “How many people in your company work with digitalisation?” A logical enough question, you may think. From my perspective, however, it was almost comical. We are now over 1,600 people working at HiQ. And everyone – every single individual – is contributing in one way or another to drive the digitalisation forward. Together, we are leading the hundreds of companies and organisations that are our customers towards the future – at full speed! Lars Stugemo sums up.
