HiQ – best so far
Net sales in 2017 grow by 7.7 per cent to SEK 1,787.9 (1,659.4) million. Operating profit (EBIT) for the period amounts to SEK 214.4 (207.9) million, corresponding to an operating margin of 12.0 per cent. Net sales for the fourth quarter total SEK 494.7 (460.5) million. Operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter is SEK 62.4 (56.5) million, corresponding to an operating margin of 12.6 per cent. Liquid assets at the end of December total SEK 205.1 million. Hence a record year for HiQ. Again.
“Four record quarters in a row sums up to a record year! Net sales, a record. Results, record. In fact, HiQ now has 1,645 employees, more than we have ever been before. Overall in 2017, development is strong throughout the Group. The market is also strong, and we are growing. As if that’s not enough, we’ll pay out more to our shareholders this year than ever before,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.
During the year HiQ broadens its offer. For example, we experience growth in integrations, especially in Finland.
“We see that demand for our integration platform Frends, which streamlines flows and makes it easier for systems to talk to each other, constantly increases. Our ongoing operation and maintenance business grows. And demand for our systems integration services is on the rise. One example of this is at the infranet giant Eltel, where we expand our collaboration and establish a new unit in Gdansk in Poland,” says Stugemo.
The rapid technology development also makes us more relevant as a marketing partner. One example of that is when HiQ get assigned as communication agency for the Royal Swedish Opera. Other news during the quarter concerns Circle K for which HiQ developes a loyalty portal that forms the basis for an active customer dialogue for Circle K with several thousand filling stations. HiQ’s collaboration with the LEGO Group at the recently opened LEGO House in Billund, Denmark. And the development of a prototype for a digital driving licence in Finland.
During the year HiQ also win several new team deals, that is, HiQ delivers the entire development team to the client. This includes telecom and the public sector, where HiQ’s teams are sought after.
“To a greater extent, we also broaden our collaborations with our clients and enter new partnerships. During the year we conclude several agreements as digital partner, development partner or strategic partner. We see this with for example Skandia, Veikkaus, Destia, Awapatent and retail giant Jula,” says Stugemo.
“As we enter 2018, it is with a HiQ that is stronger than ever before. There are 1,645 of us HiQers, and we are determined, we take responsibility for ourselves and our clients, we strive to simplify, and we have fun while we’re doing it. And not least, we have fantastic, brave, creative and strong clients. It’s no harder than that. So, full speed ahead!” says Stugemo.
