HiQ – THINK TANK TO THE SKY

What happens when you combine the power of art and IT to solve challenges that neither of them is able to solve alone? This question is the basis for an exciting collaboration between HiQ and Tillt. Together, the two organisations have created Skylab, to be launched at the West Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Handelskammardagen event in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 3 October.

Skylab is an "idea lab" within which a composite team of HiQ consultants and artists from Tillt will be given 24 hours to solve a pre-determined problem.

"There are numerous challenges and areas in need of improvement, and we want to deal with one of these during our first Skylab. The exact problem we will be dealing with will be announced at the West Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Handelskammardagen event today at four p.m., but we can reveal that it is highly relevant to western Sweden," explains Jerker Lindstén, Managing Director of HiQ Göteborg.

Technology and art have long been intimately related, such as with the artist and engineer Leonardo da Vinci and Mona Lisa. HiQ and Tillt now aim to drive development through this joint art-technology project.

"Good ideas develop from the right combination of people in the right environment free from preconceptions. HiQ and Tillt understand one another and are different enough to generate innovation when they meet. HiQ is a value-driven company where the ability to innovate, simplify and solve problems go hand in hand. When we have fun at work, we create better results," Lindstén concludes.
