With the new partnership agreement, HiQ will assume responsibility for streamlining Destias digital business process management through integration as well as creating and managing a new centralised cloud-based solution in line with Destia’s digital strategy.

Destia, a Finnish infrastructure and construction services company, is to expand its collaboration with HiQ, having chosen HiQ Finland as its partner to deliver on a project that will see Destia enhance its digital business capabilities. This is a significant investment in digitalization that will see new digital capabilities embedded in all parts of the business from day-to-day construction activity to road network maintenance. Investment in digital technologies forms part of Destia’s strategy and is one of the company’s key development areas.

“We are particularly keen to abolish all processes involving paper-based forms on our building sites. We are always looking for new ways to make our supervisory and reporting activities easier and faster. To this end, we will be adopting new mobile applications that we can use to disseminate data and to generate real time information on our back office systems. The ability to complete forms automatically on the basis of location information is an excellent example of how digitization will make our everyday operations that little bit more straightforward. We will be able to work more quickly and efficiently and reduce the number of human errors,” said Jaana Saarela, Destia CIO.

Destia is committed to ongoing business development in line with its digital strategy and, as the partner, HiQ will be supporting this development. The first solution created in collaboration between the two companies, will also act as a foundation for future digital and IoT projects. HiQ will be responsible for digital architecture, service design and application development. HiQ’s FRENDS hybrid integration platform will play a significant role in driving the process.

All HiQ solutions are cloud-based and will automatically be administered through HiQ’s technical support and maintenance services. The agreement also encompasses the ongoing development of additional solutions and services. HiQ’s partner Microsoft Azure was chosen by Destia as the preferred cloud solutions provider.

“The shift towards digital will benefit all organisations regardless of their purpose. By creating smart technology solutions that genuinely serve the business needs of our client, we can support Destia as it builds the best possible infrastructure for Finland,” said Jukka Rautio, Managing Director at HiQ Finland.
