HiQ CREATES INTEGRATION SOLUTION FOR MAJOR GROCERY STORE OPERATOR
HiQ helps Suomen Lähikauppa (SLK) in Finland to improve its services to loyalty customers. Thanks to the integration solution that HiQ implements, shoppers receive extensive customer loyalty benefits in store chains Siwa and Valintatalo.
”We wanted to renew our loyalty program and offer even more wide-ranging benefits. The PINS program, operated by Coalition Rewards, fulfilled our demands and we joined the program in 2014. PINS is a joint loyalty program of around 300 partners and 400 online stores. In Finland, the program has around 1,1 million connected consumers. Around half of them regularly use their PINS card in our stores,” says Satu Puumala, senior Marketing Manager at Suomen Lähikauppa.
“The PINS program has a complex functionality and its implementation generated tens of integration projects between the systems of SLK and Coalition Rewards. Eleven partners from three different countries were involved in the endeavour and HiQ’s solution plays a significant role in the operation of the program. Without HiQ’s know-how, we would not have succeeded in introducing this new system cost-efficiently and on time,” Janne Jakola, Head of IT at Suomen Lähikauppa, continues.
The solution ensures a seamless flow of information between all cashier terminals and the PINS system, if necessary also in real-time. The integration solution is built to withstand 10 000 parallel actions per second.
”HiQ is a market leader in developing digital services for the financial sector. In this project we have applied that know-how on the retail industry’s corresponding needs. We have worked with SLK for more than 20 years and look forward to continue contributing with our know-how even more extensively,” says Jukka Rautio at HiQ in Finland.
“This is a great example of how we, together with innovative clients, simplify people’s everyday lives with the help of technology. The retail industry and the customer needs are changing all the time. We are the right partner for companies that want to be at the forefront of development, says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO at HiQ.
Suomen Lähikauppa Oy has two nationwide store chains: Siwa and Valintatalo. The group has nearly 700 stores, around 4,300 employees, and practically everyone in Finland as customers. Net sales in 2014 totalled approximately EUR 1 billion.
