Mobile payments are now seeing broad adoption in several places around the world and are predicted to reach a total of $171 billion in 2012*. HiQ has shifted into high gear to meet the demand for effective solutions for mobile payments.

Smart mobile devices are a natural part of our daily lives – from the time we wake up in the morning until we go to sleep at night. We now socialise, shop, consume entertainment and manage our finances using mobile devices. The mobile lifestyle has never been so widespread as it is right now. For HiQ, this development means helping our customers to create business advantages by finding effective solutions for mobile devices.

"We now want a simple way to make payments and banking using mobile devices. According to Gartner, mobile payments will amount to $171 billion in 2012, an increase of 62 per cent over last year. And this is just the beginning. At HiQ we have a number of experts in the field that understand both the technology and how the banks can create a better business for themselves and their customers in the mobile lifestyle," explains Magnus Gudéhn, Business Area Manager at HiQ.

Among other milestones already reached in the field, HiQ designed the mobile service offered to private customers by major Finnish bank OP Pohjola. HiQ has also developed a tool for tablets that is used by traders at a major Swedish bank. To ensure it successfully keeps pace with development, HiQ is utilising all its expertise from more than 15 years of experience in multiple market segments, particularly the telecommunications industry. HiQ also collaborate successfully with Nordic and international banks in the creation of platforms for securities trading. The width is yet another strength as we help wallets go mobile.

"There is a mobile revolution going on. The concept “mobile first” is significant in every segment, which means that mobile solutions are at the forefront as companies look at the packaging of their offering. The mobile wallet means that it will be easier to make payments and transfers, that creates simpler businesses in mobile devices. That will create new innovations and opportunities for instance for banks, retail companies and media houses, says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.

On 26 September industry experts in mobile payments will meet at HiQ's office at Regeringsgatan 20 in Stockholm. You can view the invitation here (Swedish). Feel free to join us for another exciting day in the adventure we call IT. Read more about HiQ's offering within Finance and Insurance.
