HIQ EQUIPS EMPOWER WITH COMPREHENSIVE IT SERVICES
HiQ has taken on a larger role as the IT supplier of Empower, a multinational company providing construction, maintenance and professional services for energy, telecom and industry sectors.
HiQ will carry out Empower’s SharePoint 2010 migration process and offer maintenance services pertaining to the company’s communications solutions. HiQ and Empower have so far collaborated, for example, on systems integration, business consulting and architectural planning. In this recently commenced project, HiQ will carry out Empower’s SharePoint update from the 2007 version to the 2010 version.
”Our aim has been to concentrate our IT acquisitions on a select group of suppliers, and simultaneously cut down on management costs resulting from an excessively large number of vendors. From previous collaborations we knew HiQ to be a reliable choice of partner for our SharePoint project as well. In the meantime we were able to consolidate the maintenance of our services into a model we had previously deemed successful,” says Pekka Suutari, Empower’s vice president of ICT.
