HiQ HELPS FINNISH HOSPITAL DISTRICT IMPROVE COMMUNICATION
HiQ delivers a communication and workspace solution for the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District (PPSHP) to help employees work in several locations. The new system improves internal communication and paves the way for future services. The intranet project is another successful assignment for HiQ in the Public Sector.
The new intranet will be launched in a couple of months. The system will partially replace the current communication tools and reduce e-mail traffic and the number of paper bulletins.
- The new intranet is an everyday tool for everyone that works at PPSHP. Therefore, it is critical that the system is easy to use and maintain regardless of the technical skills and background of the user. Easy tools mean more time to take care of our patients and customers. HiQ understood our needs and offered us the right know-how for all the stages of the development project, says Pasi Parkkila, Director of Development at PPSHP.
SharePoint 2010 was chosen as the platform for the intranet service. HiQ delivered the project from planning to maintenance.
- PPSHP had a clear vision about the goals of the project, and a strong commitment to meet those goals. Our mutual objective was to create a modern intranet service that would make everyday work easier, and meet the current and future needs in the organisation. In this project, we could utilise our expertise in work methods and our strong experience from the public sector projects to benefit the customer.
