Västtrafik, a major public transport company in West Sweden, is constantly striving to improve customer satisfaction and simplify for its customers. Västtrafik has chosen HiQ as one of the core suppliers for helping the company with digital presence and customer experience. Now the first public result of this collaboration is being launched: “Västtrafik To Go” is a new solution that moves your ticket into your mobile.

“We want to enable our customers to travel simpler and smarter, on their own terms. We hope that having a period ticket in their mobile phone will herald a noticeable improvement in service and accessibility for our hundreds of thousands of loyal customers,” says Lars Backström, Managing Director at Västtrafik.

Through the collaboration with HiQ, Västtrafik aims to adopt a truly all-round approach to its digital presence. Customers will get the same experience regardless of channel, and the focus is to deliver services that meet the needs of the travellers, on the travellers’ own terms.

“We are proud of the confidence Västtrafik has shown in us and of our successful cooperation. HiQ’s know-how in both technology and communication enables us to help our clients all the way from strategy to implementation. We are looking forward to continuing to make improvements that will benefit all of us who commute in West Sweden on a daily basis,” says Jerker Lindstén, Managing Director of HiQ Gothenburg.

The new solution makes it possible to buy period tickets and single tickets directly with a mobile phone. HiQ has helped Västtrafik to form the concept and contributed with competence in areas such as design, usability and technical development.

“Västtrafik is a forward-looking client. We share the same conviction that digitalisation provides us with tools to make life simpler for people. It’s a kick when the visions from workshops and pre-studies transform into clear concepts and completed results,” Lindstén continues.

“HiQ is passionate about simplifying people’s everyday lives through user-friendly technical solutions, and we’re delighted when we can help clients to do just that. In this case within the area of public transport – something that affects huge numbers of people. This collaboration clearly demonstrates HiQ’s expertise within every link of the chain that connects technology, people and business,” says Lars Stugemo, CEO and President of HiQ.
