HiQ is selected as partner to the Finnish Customs, with the task to ensure smooth transportation of goods through the Customs by land, sea, and air. HiQ will be responsible for the maintenance and further development of business-critical systems.

The contract is effective until further notice, and the value is approximately €4.2 million in the first four years. The assignment is to guarantee the reliability of systems that are critical for the Customs’ operations, in this case the systems for managing and processing the flow of goods.

“We are incredibly proud of the Customs’ confidence in us and about being able to contribute to Finland’s import and export operations. HiQ’s role is to take over the customer’s challenges and ensure smooth everyday business. We are eager to use our diverse expertise in order to benefit the entire organisation of the Finnish Customs”, says Jukka Rautio at HiQ in Finland.

Business-critical system environments are an essential part of HiQ’s know-how. For example, HiQ has helped Veikkaus to ensure the reliability of their gaming systems for nearly 20 years. HiQ is also a strategic partner to SAS, helping the airline company with the development, support, management and operation of critical crew management systems. The collaboration between HiQ and the Finnish Customs started in 2007.

“In our connected society, we are constantly helping our clients to use technology in order to simplify and improve their operations. HiQ is an innovative and experienced partner to any organization who wants to be in the lead and we are proud to have earned the Finnish Customs’ trust,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO at HiQ.
