HiQ signs framework agreement with the Swedish Transport Administration – expansion in Mälardalen and Dalarna continues

HiQ has signed a new framework agreement with the Swedish Transport Administration (formerly the National Rail Administration and National Road Administration). The agreement, where also Transportstyrelsen and the City of Borlänge are purchasing parties, which will be in effect for three years with an option to extend for one year, covers services in the areas of system development, system administration and infrastructure.

“For several years now HiQ has been working with different sections within what are now the Swedish Transport Administration and the Swedish Transport Agency. We are happy to have a new, long-term framework agreement as a basis for our continued cooperation,” says Anders Nilsson, Managing Director of HiQ Mälardalen. “Our expertise, working methods and not least our values are well suited to meet the future requirements of the Transport Administration and Transport Agency. This framework agreement will enable us to continue to expand in Mälardalen as well as in the Dalarna region through recruitment and by broadening our customer base,” continues Nilsson.

HiQ has been expanding its operations in Mälardalen since 2009, for example by establishing a new presence in Västerås. Today HiQ’s operation employs around 100 people. The aim is to expand significantly in the year ahead. The long-term goal is to double the headcount and become the leading player in the IT sector in the region – not only in terms of quality, but also in volume.

“We have been working successfully for many years from our offices in Arboga on developing systems, products and services for sectors such as defence, automotive and manufacturing industry as well as for the public sector. Now we have identified a great opportunity to expand our cooperation with several of the largest companies in this region and in Dalarna,” says Anders Nilsson, Managing Director of HiQ Mälardalen.
