IoT SOLUTION SIMPLIFIES EVERYDAY LIFE FOR MACHINE OPERATORS
At the Elmia fair in Jönköping, HiQ and the technology company 3nine will exhibit an IoT solution for the engineering industry, which continuously gathers operational data and presents operational status in real-time. The service simplifies everyday life for the operators that, online or via a mobile device, will receive real-time warnings and alarms about needed actions on 3nine’s oil mist separators as well as information about the operational environment.
The engineering industry is facing a massive shift; it is a traditional industry impacted by strong transformation pressure through both globalisation and digitalisation. 3nine is at the forefront and early to present a communications platform that gathers and gives access to sensor data for a number of different stakeholders, as well as enables remote monitoring.
“We always aim to simplify the everyday lives of our customers, helping them to become more competitive and enabling them to focus on the production. HiQ was an obvious partner to work with – HiQ is market leading and also has the determination to create simple, smart and user-friendly solutions,” says Oskar Olai, CEO at 3nine.
Before, the focus was on the automation of production processes. Now, the focus is on connectivity and service development for decision support, both in real-time and predictively. The new solution that HiQ and 3nine have built is a first step in this development.
“The digital service development within the industry sector is now starting to pick up speed. As everything becomes connected and autonomous, we can do so much more than solely focus on cost-efficiency and personal safety. We are now looking at new kinds of applications and service developments,” says Magnus Gens, Business Developer at HiQ.
HiQ helps its clients all the way from idea and strategy to technical realisation and marketing communications. This range enables HiQ to operate within all kinds of industries and at all levels within its clients’ organisations. This has positioned HiQ as a leading player with experience and know-how within the entire spectra of technology, people, and business.
“There are endless solutions and possibilities with IoT. The challenge is to identify the solution that will generate business value. This is the challenge that we are helping our clients to solve,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.
“When we are simplifying for people, while at the same time creating value for the company through technology, we are doing the right thing.”
