Desire for change felt by over half of Brits
Only 12% of British adults describe themselves as perfectly happy, while 55% wish they could do something completely different in life, according to research by distance learning provider Home Learning College. Given the chance to alter one thing, a quarter would choose a new job. The desire for a new house comes second, with 19% of the vote, while 16% want to take things a step further and move to a different country. It would also seem that the wish to emigrate grows stronger as we get older. Only 14% of 18 to 24 year olds selected this as their primary goal, rising to 21% of the over 55s.
