Humana expands into Denmark through acquisition
Humana AB acquires StøtteCompagniet ApS, a small company that provides specialised outpatient care services in the individual and family care segment in Denmark. Through the acquisition, Humana takes its first step into the Danish care market.
Humana and StøtteCompagniet have been cooperating for several years and have a common view of corporate culture, quality and what direction the business should take going forward. The acquisition establishes Humana in the Danish care market, providing an opportunity to follow this interesting market closely.

StøtteCompagniet, which has around 60 employees, provides specialised outpatient care services under its own management to municipalities, primarily in the Copenhagen region. The company also provides training and consulting in social services. Humana’s acquisition of StøtteCompagniet will not affect operating activities. Revenues in 2017 amounted to approximately SEK 20 million.
Humana has entered an agreement to acquire all the shares in StøtteCompagniet from the company’s founder. The transaction and transfer of the business are effective immediately. Operations in Denmark will be part of Humana’s Other Nordics business area.
