Negotiations in the Administrative Court scheduled for 25-26 May 2023 in the case between Humana Assistans and IVO regarding permit to conduct operations

Humana Assistans AB (“Humana Assistans”) has today, on 25 April, been called to oral negotiations in the Administrative Court in Stockholm in the case between Humana Assistans and the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorates (“IVO”) regarding IVO’s decision to recall Humana Assistans’ permit to conduct operations with personal assistance and other services. Humana Assistans has, in their appeal of IVO’s decision, requested that oral negotiations should be held in court. The negotiations will be held in the Administrative Court in Stockholm on 25-26 May 2023. Humana has no further information regarding the court’s proceedings of the case or when the issue will be finalised.

Humana announced on 31 January 2023 that IVO had decided to revoke Humana Assistans' permit to conduct operations. On 2 February 2023, Humana announced that Humana Assistans’ had appealed the decision to the Administrative Court of Appeal in Stockholm and filed a request for suspension. On 7 February 2023, Humana announced that the Administrative Court had granted a suspension.

On 14 February 2023, IVO appealed the suspension decision made by the Administrative Court to the Administrative Court of Appeal. On 17 February 2023, the Administrative Court of Appeal decided not to grant IVO permission to appeal. The Administrative Court's decision on suspension remains, which means that Humana Assistans AB can continue to conduct operations while continuing to pursue the substantive issue in court.

The trial is ongoing in the Administrative Court concerning the permit to conduct operations. The court has now noticed the parties to an oral negotiation in the Administrative Court in Stockholm on 25-26 May 2023. Humana currently has no further information about the court's proceedings of the case or when the case is expected to be finalised.
