Swedish Social Insurance Agency announces that payments of assistance compensation will be made directly to the customer

Report this content

The Swedish Social Insurance Agency announced today, 7 February 2023, that they have decided to pay assistance compensation directly to those entitled to assistance who hire Humana Assistans AB - and not as before pay to the company. This is due to the fact that IVO revoked the company's permission to conduct operations with personal assistance. Humana Assistans AB will instead invoice customers for assistance provided.

-We are surprised that this decision is announced today when the Administrative Court has granted a suspension. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency has the opportunity to decide on payees at any time.  It is noteworthy that the Swedish Social Insurance Agency also encourages our customers to change assistance provider. This decision increases our and our customers' administrative burden," says Johanna Rastad, President and CEO.

Humana intends to continuously inform about the permit issue and related circumstances.
