ICA Gruppen reviews ownership in inkClub
ICA Gruppen is conducting a strategic review of its ownership in the e-commerce company inkClub. The wholly owned e-commerce company inkClub had sales in 2015 of approximately SEK 500 million and today has some 4 million customers in its customer database.
inkClub is one of Sweden’s oldest e-commerce companies and has been owned by ICA Gruppen since 2007. The company currently conducts business in 10 countries and has a wide offering of consumables.
“inkClub has undergone a strategic change in recent years, with a broadened offering and greater focus on B2B,” comments Liv Forhaug, Chief Strategy Officer, ICA Gruppen. “inkClub is profitable and is experiencing positive development, but going forward we see limited synergies with our core business. We are therefore looking into strategic alternatives to our ownership in inkClub.”
