    ICA Gruppen signs agreement with Ocado on new e-commerce solution

    ICA Gruppen – through ICA Sweden – is entering into a cooperation agreement with the British e-commerce company Ocado and will use the company’s e-commerce platform and technology for highly automated e-commerce picking warehouses.     ICA Sweden will begin offering a central solution for picking and fulfilling e-commerce orders by the third quarter of 2018 at the latest. Central order picking will improve delivery times for customers who want home delivery, and the warehouse will be able to serve a large part of the Mälardalen area once fully staffed.     ICA to extend origin labelling

    ICA is now taking a major initiative and extending origin labelling of its private label products. For some time, ICA Sweden has had origin labelling for all private label products containing meat but the company is now adding more items. These include cheese, dairy products and frozen vegetables.
