COPPULL IS 14TH PHARMACY FOR MEDICX PHARMACY
CHORLEY based MedicX Pharmacy has opened a new practice in Coppull.
The award-winning business, which operates its Central Team headquarters at MedicX Pharmacy Chorley on Peel Street, has now opened a pharmacy at the Acreswood Surgery in Coppull.
MedicX Pharmacy Coppull is open daily until 10pm including weekends and bank holidays and is among 14 MedicX Pharmacy locations throughout England including Greater London and the South East, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Yorkshire as well as other locations in Lancashire.
The latest opening is part of a major growth and expansion plan which is expected to see the number of MedicX Pharmacy practices rise to 30 in the medium term.
Coppull Pharmacy Manager Nada Baki explained: “Since opening at the beginning of July we’ve established a very good rapport with doctors and staff at the Acreswood Surgery and thanks to our extended opening hours we can mirror surgery appointments to provide seamless pharmaceutical care for the benefit of patients.
“We’re also working with the local community to provide friendly and knowledgeable advice on a wide range of health issues as part of our role to help people lead healthier lives.”
As well as traditional dispensing services and free prescription delivery, the pharmacy is providing medicine use reviews, new medicines services, minor ailments services and emergency hormonal contraception services. It will shortly be introducing advisory, testing and screening services such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks, smoking cessation services and lifestyle assessments.
MedicX Pharmacy’s patient-focussed approach and stylish interior design enables advice and information to be provided discreetly to patients. There is a private consultation room, a large reception desk and a semi-private area for prescriptions to be dispensed.
