FA Cup tie between Fleetwood Town FC & Blackpool FC.

FYLDE coast chefs have created a unique 'donkey derby' dessert to celebrate Saturday's magical FA Cup tie between Fleetwood Town FC & Blackpool FC.

Twelve Event Management, which provides fine dining corporate hospitality in Fleetwood Town's new £4m grandstand at Highbury, will be serving more than 300 diners who have clinched the best seats in the house to watch this historic game billed as the 'match of the century' for the Fylde coast.

Twelve's 'Donkey Derby' dessert plays tribute to both teams' club colours and is described as a 'Cod Army and Tangerine panna cotta served with a Captain Cod biscuit.'

Featuring a tangerine fruit jelly topped with creamy, vanilla infused panna cotta and finished with a raspberry fruit jelly, it is accompanied by a fish-shaped biscuit!

It  is among a delicious choice of dishes for the three-course match day menu with firm favourites including Cod Army fish pie, braised steak in beer sauce and a Lancashire cheese plate served with seasonal plum and apple chutney.

Twelve Chef Proprietor Paul Moss, who is widely known for his innovative dishes including the famous Tangerine Dream -- a tribute to Blackpool's promotion to the Premiership in May 2010, said the fixture was a match made in heaven!

"I don't think anyone could have predicted that Blackpool and Fleetwood would be playing each other in the FA Cup! It promises to be a truly local crowd!

"We couldn't resist creating a Donkey Derby dessert -- it plays tribute to both teams as well as being a bit of fun too. Of course, the most important part is that it's absolutely delicious!"

There were more than 1,500 requests for corporate hospitality for the third round tie on Saturday 7th January with all areas of the Parkside Hospitality Suite including the main function room and executive boxes now fully booked!

Twelve's reputation for providing excellent match day hospitality is believed to have helped fuel demand for places.

Paul added: "It promises to be a truly historic day of football on the Fylde coast and it will be fascinating to see how the crowd reacts no matter which team scores!"
