Scott Rees & Co Solicitors has pledged funding for the Joseph Stockton Football Family Fundraiser event on July 15th.

Four-year-old Joseph suffers a rare neurological brain disorder and a charity football match will raise money for his fund and also for his school’s sensory room as well as a donation to the charity, Remembering Rebecca.

This summer Scott Rees & Co Solicitors has sponsored Skelmersdale Cricket Club and has also pledged funding for other community organisations; the firm has agreed to donate £250 to Joseph’s football fundraising event which is the third of its kind.

Scott Rees Team Manager Jamie O’Rourke, who is close friends with Joseph’s parents and is among the fund-raisers, explained: “Last year we were overwhelmed by people's generosity and much of Joseph’s portion of the money was spent on a wheelchair friendly ramp for his new ground floor bedroom. The rest was donated to Ormskirk Hospital Children's Ward.

“Joseph’s parents are extremely grateful for all the support they have received.”

Joseph suffers from a rare brain condition called lissencephaly – the word literally means "smooth brain," and is a rare, gene-linked brain malformation.

The Joseph Stockton Football Family Fundraiser takes place at Glenburn 3G Astro from 1pm-4pm on 15thJuly. Visit Scott Rees’ blog for more information.
