SPECIALIST CATASTROPHIC INJURY LAWYER JOINS SCOTT REES
Scott Rees & Co Solicitors has welcomed a new member to its catastrophic injury unit -- experienced practitioner Elizabeth Graham.
Elizabeth has joined Partner Chris Walker and his team to represent individuals and their families where accidents have caused serious life changing injuries, or in some cases where people have died.
Previously with Tranters Solicitors in Manchester, Elizabeth has handled many high profile cases involving multi-million pound compensation pay-outs.
She has worked extensively across the personal injury field for both claimants and defendants, including one case where the claimant became a founding member of the organisation, Families Against Corporate Killing.
She said: "I am very pleased to have joined the team here at Scott Rees which has an excellent reputation for its handling of catastrophic injuries.
"An effective lawyer makes a real big difference to a case where serious injuries have been sustained; there are often lots of complex and long term issues at stake and it is not unusual for many people to be in denial about the effect of their injuries.
"As their solicitor seeking compensation for what they have experienced, it is important to think ahead to ensure they have everything they need for the future such as care requirements, housing needs and long term mental health support. It requires a mixture of empathy, imagination, research and expertise!"
Among the cases that Elizabeth has handled include representation of Dorothy and Douglas Wright whose son Mark was killed in a recycling plant accident in Chester. In October 2011, the Crown Prosecution Service apologised unreservedly to the family for its poor handling of the investigation in to his death.
