Brugarolas implements IFS Applications 9 to support international growth
ERP system from IFS will streamline the production processes and will improve the presence of the Catalonian company in more than 40 countries
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, is today announcing that Brugarolas, a chemical company with extensive experience in the production of lubricants, will implement IFS Applications™ 9 to better serve the needs of its growing national and international customer base.
Headquartered in the northeast of Spain just outside of Barcelona, Brugarolas will implement IFS Applications 9 in almost all of its business areas, with the aim of streamlining the management of its finance, production, supply chain, CRM, maintenance, and HR. The company will also implement the IFS business technology module, allowing the integration of its systems, web services and mobile devices.
"Our previous ERP system was designed in-house and it had been tweaked several times to meet our evolving need, but the rapid development of the company, along with the business, administrative and tax needs in the markets where we operate, have motivated us to change strategy and implement an agile solution that will continually be able to adapt to our requirements. Currently it is nearly impossible for our IT systems to keep pace with our business needs and as Brugarolas is a company which produces, sells and distributes lubricants, we need to focus on this rather than developing and maintaining software", said Juan Carlos Martínez, CFO of Brugarolas. With sites spanning more than 60,000 m2, Brugarolas currently has an output of over 50,000 tons of lubricant each year.
Alberto Guede, CIO of Brugarolas added, “By choosing IFS Applications, Brugarolas will have better visibility of key business process using one single tool. After four years of looking for the best solution and analyzing various ERP systems, we chose IFS because we believe it is the one that will best meet our needs today as well as our needs in the future". He added: "Flexible adaptation, commitment to new work environments, value-for-money and good commercial response were the key reasons for selecting IFS Applications".
“I am proud that we are adding Brugarolas to our roster of customers in Catalonia, this time in association with our partner Connectis who will be responsible for the implementation. Connectis has extensive experience implementing software for industrial maintenance and automation systems so I am confident that this will be the first of many new collaborative projects”, commented Gustavo Brito CEO at IFS Ibérica.
