French waste management group Séché Environnement selects IFS ERP in the cloud
Process efficiency and data governance at center stage as IFS Applications™ ousts Sage X3 from the company’s 40+ sites nationwide
London, March 19, 2020 – IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Séché Environnement, one of France’s leading players in the recovery and treatment of all types of waste, has chosen to deploy IFS Applications in the IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure.
Operating in 15 countries worldwide, Séché Environnement specializes in managing disposal of highly complex waste, operating within regulated waste recovery and treatment markets with high barriers to entry, and develops cutting edge hazardous and non-hazardous waste recovery and treatment solutions.
To power its strong growth, the company needed to replace its legacy business system, which no longer supported the users’ needs or the company’s goals. Following a thourough evaluation of leading ERP vendors, including SAP and IFS, Séché Environnement chose IFS Applications based on the platform’s robust industry functionality, intuitive user experience, and flexible delivery architecture.
“IFS presented a solution that covered all industry-specific requirements through a highly scalable and fully managed cloud architecture,” Séché Environnement Philippe Cavrot, CIO of Séché Environnement said. “In line with our ‘cloud-first’ strategy, the IFS Managed Cloud will enable our IT specialists to focus on value-added activities instead of ERP maintenance and operations. Additionally, by replacing our obsolete business system, we are simultaneously given a chance to review our processes and implement new data governance protocols.”
Christophe Ceze, IFS Managing Director, France and Benelux, added, “We are proud to support Séché Environnement in its important mission to safely manage waste. Our solutions have been engineered to support complex business processes in an uncomplicated way. We look forward to working with Séché Environnement to establish the technological framework for their future growth.”
IFS Applications will be used by some 700 Séché Environnement staff to support mission-critical processes including procurement, sales, waste management, maintenance, production, project anagement, inventory, finance, document management, quality management, and human capital management (HCM).
